  • hmMM… i think a lot is going on right now.. especially at church.
Spiritual battle… trials and storms… every one of us have something going on.
I think Sunday’s message was comforting not only for Chris’s situation… but for all of us.

This just came to mind :

    In the chaos
    In confusion i know,
    You’re soveriegn still
    In the moment
    of my weakness
    You give me grace
    to do Your will

    When you call
    i wont delay
    This my song
    through all my days

    - These words are soooo powerful right now…to me. There is a lot going on. Everywhere… to a lot of people
It’s chaotic… we’re confused… weak… But He gives us grace to do His will.
And through these hard times… am i going to respond to Him or will i leave Him??
Will you respond to Him? Or will you leave Him??

It reminds me of what John said on Sunday. I’m sorry for not saying it exactly.. but my understanding was…
Even if it brings me suffering … if His will will be done through me… then i will endure it. I have to.. its for Him. All for Him.
What is pain right now… will bring glory to Him in the outcome.

I know we have our trials for a reason. It only took me that recently to realize. There’s a difference between saying you understand trials come your way for perseverance.. and to know that trials produce perseverance. I hope all of us just dont know it… but we come to understand/believe it through our hardest moments.

It’s scary to pray that we want to know the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, and becoming like Him in His death. Takes a lot more than .. talk. More than mere words.

“But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.”

    - Phillipians 3:7-11
