  • God is not looking for burned-out, guilt-ridden evangelists to change the world.

Instead, God is looking for people who are madly in love with his Son,

experience him as the best joy in all the world and therefore cannot contain their joy in God.

That is what it means to be sent as a witness.

    edit #2…

i was so excited when i saw a note from my english professor that class was cancelled today! i finalllly got to watch heroes on tv.. :)

Actually i only saw up to like episode 12 or something.. so everything that happened then until today.. i skipped everything in the middle..

who is this Hope girl?? i was lost on that… and then Peter was fighting this guy with pigeons?? How did the cheerleader and her father’s relationship change so much?

    i dunno..i was lost on a lot of those things… -.-

OK..so i was actually waiting for ren or brian to make fun of me.. but i will go ahead and make fun of myself.. lol

Yesterday at church i was playing table tennis with John..and he wasn’t really playing too well. So he picked up the ball and was like bouncing it..

“does it not have enough air?” i said… then John gives me the weirdest look ever. “doesn’t it inflate?” i said ….

Then he just started bursting out into laughter. Got brian and Ren’s attention.. and repeated what i said. hehehe…

What? I really thought ping pong balls didn’t last forever lol… should i die my hair blonde? ^^

For your heart that loves me,

For your feet that pursue me,

For your voice that calls out to me,

    I thank you, O God.

Thank you for raising the questions

that draw me into a dialogue with you

about my life and how I have been living it.

Thank you for every tug of conscience

that has led to every timid step

that has brought me out in the open

    in my relationship with you.

My hope, O God, my only hope,

is that you are more persistent in your seeking

than I am in my hiding.

    -Ken Gire

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?” – Genesis 3:8-9

Do we seek God or does He seek us?

I’ve read from many text that this question is theological? But that what we do discover is that all the while we have been pursuing God, he has been rushing toward us with reckless love, arms flung wide to hug us home. While we’re crying out, “Where are you, God?” the divine voice echoes through our hiding places, “Where are you?” This verse reminds me that since the Garden of Eden, God calls out first, and to this we answer.

  • i know i’m weak, i know i’m unworthy

    To call upon Your name

But because of grace, because of Your mercy,

    I stand here unashamed.

It was really great to see faces from AF1.

Just being reminded again of what i experienced then…

it brought me back to the reality of where God is in my life

    right now.

  • i’m excited for tomorrow’s bible study! we had a long break.. and a great revival at AF1!!

hehe…i can’t spoil the surprise for tomorrow… im just dying to want to share though!!

you’ll be in for some laughs tomorrow~ so dont miss out!!

    …..hmm..i feel like i haven’t really written much on xanga…lets seee…updates…

have i mentioned to anyone before that science is one of my weakest subjects? i have a physics and chemistry class this semester.. i hope that as i get them out of the way..that i will pass them as well :)

i’ve noticed that all my professors are male.. and 2 of them are indian.. who’s english is very slurred and i can’t really understand while they talk a million words per minute.. but thank God they have well outlined powerpoint presentations ^^

i’m also taking an art class..i hope i can draw better now?

History seems easy in a way because all the tests are take home and we get a week to finish them. I just need to do some research. And English seems the same as well…since we’re only meeting once a week.. i know we won’t be dismissed early.

i learned that next semester i have to take some sort of health class..like swimming or yoga or self defense. I can’t believe the classes that are required for education majors. >.<

**o yea..if you haven’t received a call from me within this month..that means i dont have your phone #. please call me at my old # listed in the post below..otherwise..i dunno how to get in touch with you?

  • Merry Christmas everyone :)

i hope everyone had a meaningful time with their families this holiday ^^

I am excited for AF1 which is only about 12 hrs away…. it looks like people might also have a fun time skiing/boarding at the end of the retreat too because it started snowing here tonite ^^

It seems true that in the winter with the cold and all..you feel lonliness more and the coldness in your heart…i think a great way to end winter break is to go to AF1!!

i hope everyone that’s going will have a meaningful time reconnecting with God and to also meet new brothers and sisters in Christ to be motivated and refreshed to continue sprinting in the marathon~

People who are driving…drive safely… students who are coming… be prepared to meet God and to feel His love!!
